The Ohio Center for Investigative Journalism, dba Eye on Ohio, is an independent, non-profit news organization based in Columbus Ohio. Our mission includes educating the next generation of journalists. We offer one-semester internship opportunities for students at colleges and universities in Ohio.
Qualifications:
- Current journalism student (Must be getting credit for this internship, as it is unpaid.)
- Freelance or school newspaper experience
- Must be able to work independently.
- Foreign language or data skills a plus.
Duties:
- Finding, developing, and writing high-impact stories in the public interest.
- Researching current news topics.
- Some copyediting.
- Daily check-ins by phone or email, weekly face-to-face meetings. (This is a remote position.)
